Vincent-Alexandre Fournier

After overcoming school dropping problems, Vincent-Alexandre Fournier joined the paralegal program at Ahuntsic College and then the LL.B. program at the University of Montreal. Vincent-Alexandre approached his legal studies with determination and resilience, and ranked 2nd in his first year, 1st in his second year and 1st of the 2016 class at the University of Montreal, obtaining the Medal of the Faculty. He also received numerous scholarships and prizes for his high academic standing.

During his studies, Vincent-Alexandre was actively involved with the Revue juridique étudiante de l’Université de Montréal as an associate editor and participated in several parliamentary simulations. He maintained as well strong links with academics by being a research assistant for professors and Ph.D. students in public and civil law.

Vincent-Alexandre worked as a student-at-law for Norton Rose Fulbright. After interning part-time at the Quebec Court of Appeal for Justice François Doyon, he clerked at the Federal Court of Appeal for Justice Johanne Gauthier in 2017-2018. At the University of Cambridge, Vincent-Alexandre intends to focus his LL.M. studies on public law and take courses taught by Professor Paul Daly for whom he was a research assistant at the University of Montreal.
