Lauren graduated as the Gold Medalist from the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law, in 2011. At the University of Victoria, Lauren received numerous awards for academic proficiency, including eleven course prizes for the highest individual standing. She also served as a research assistant and was a member of various student societies, including Pro Bono Students Canada.
Upon completing her law degree, Lauren performed legal work for a non-governmental organization combatting sex trafficking in South Asia. She returned to Canada to clerk at the British Columbia Court of Appeal. Lauren has been a member of the Law Society of British Columbia since 2013 and currently practices as a criminal prosecutor with the British Columbia Ministry of Justice.
While at the University of Cambridge, Lauren intends to focus her studies on public and criminal law.
