Gabriel-Arnaud Berthold

Gabriel-Arnaud holds a law degree from Laval University (LL. B., Dean's honor list, Faculty of Law) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa (J.D., Cum Laude). His primary field of interest being private law theory, he completed a master's degree in contract law at the University of Montreal, under the direction of professor Benoît Moore (LL. M., Exceptional honors, Dean's honor list, Faculty of Graduate Studies). The doctoral research he is currently pursuing at Sciences Po Paris, under the joint supervision of professors Christophe Jamin and Daniel Jutras, focuses on the evolution of the relationship between Contracts and the State since the end of the 20th century.

During his studies, Gabriel-Arnaud has worked as a research assistant for several professors, and as a researcher for the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse du Québec. Before starting his doctoral studies, he also served as a law clerk to the Honourable Justice Louis LeBel, at the Supreme Court of Canada.
