François-Xavier is currently pursuing a research-based Master of Law at the Université de
Sherbrooke as part of a dual-degree program with the Master’s in Notarial Law at the
Université de Poitiers. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (2022) and a Master’s in Notarial Law (2024)
from the Université de Montréal, where he was awarded the Léonard Ovide Hétu Excellence
Prize, given to the top graduate in notarial law, as well as the Jacques Beaulne Scholarship from
the Chambre des notaires du Québec. Throughout his academic journey, François-Xavier has
worked as a research assistant and completed an internship in a notarial office. His master’s
thesis project, supported by a scholarship from the Chambre des notaires du Québec’s
Graduate Studies Program (PBES 2025), focuses on preventing inheritance disputes in Quebec
law through a comparative lens with French law.
